HAM Embroidery (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website hamemb.com, which sells digital machine-embroidery design files. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the store:

• Account information — your name, email address and phone number when you register or place an order.
• Billing information — the billing address you enter at checkout, required for tax invoicing.
• Order and download history — the designs you purchased and downloaded, so we can give you continued access.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working.

2. Payment Information

We do not collect, see or store your card, UPI or net-banking details. All payments are processed directly by our payment gateway on their own secure, PCI-DSS compliant systems. We receive only a confirmation of whether the payment succeeded, along with a transaction reference.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To deliver the design files you have purchased and keep them available in your account.
• To send order confirmations, invoices and essential service messages.
• To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
• To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorised sharing and misuse of our designs.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

4. Marketing Communication

We send promotional emails about new designs and offers only if you have opted in. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Order-related emails are transactional and cannot be opted out of while you hold an active order.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

• Payment gateways — to process your payment.
• Hosting and email providers — to run the website and send order emails.
• Government or legal authorities — where we are required to by law.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout will not work correctly without them.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and order records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law. You may ask us to close your account and delete your personal data at any time, subject to those legal retention requirements.

8. Data Security

The site runs over HTTPS and your purchased files are stored in a protected location that is not publicly accessible — they can only be reached through your logged-in account after payment. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing messages. Write to us at afshashekhni@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

10. Children

Our store is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.

12. Our Mobile App

The HAM Embroidery app uses the same account as hamemb.com, and this policy covers it too. The app collects the same account, order and download information described above, and nothing more.

• Signing in — you can sign in with your email, username or mobile number and password, or with Google. With Google sign-in we receive your name and email address from Google; we never see your Google password.
• On your device — after you sign in, the app keeps a sign-in key in your phone’s encrypted storage so you stay logged in. Signing out removes it.
• Payments in the app — purchases made in the app are processed by Google Play (or the Apple App Store on iPhone). We receive only a confirmation of the purchase; we never see your card, UPI or bank details.
• Downloads — design files you download are saved by your phone’s download manager.
• What the app does not do — it does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, shows no advertising, and does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Deleting your account: you can delete your account at any time from the app (Account → Delete account) or by following the steps at hamemb.com/delete-account. Deleting your account removes your login, profile, saved collections and access to your purchased designs. Order and invoice records are kept only for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law.
